Course Details

Artist Annabel Hill guides you from close observation of a large floral bouquet through to bold abstraction, exploring colour, composition, mixed media, and collage along the way. You'll experiment with drawing and painting, build personal colour palettes inspired by Hodgkin, Matisse, and Bonnard, and use collage, cropping, and simplification to push your work towards abstraction. Suitable for all levels. Join for a single class to dive into one stage of this process, or come along as part of our ongoing course to build a cohesive body of work from observation through to finished abstract pieces.
