From River to Studio: Landscapes of the Thames

Join artist Annabel Hill for a unique riverside painting workshop inspired by the landscapes of the Thames. Beginning aboard a barge in Hammersmith, you'll work en plein air, using expressive drawing and mixed-media techniques to capture the movement, atmosphere and energy of the river. Through demonstrations and guided exercises, you'll experiment with charcoal, chalk, watercolour, oil pastels and other materials, creating a series of dynamic sketches. Back in the studio, you'll develop your strongest ideas by cropping, collaging and refining compositions before creating a final artwork. Suitable for all levels, this workshop encourages observation, experimentation and a fresh, expressive approach to landscape painting.
